One of the things F W Boreham ‘forgot to say’ (in his book of the same name), was a discussion of the importance of prayer.1 We know much more about Boreham the preacher, the pastor and the essayist, than F W Boreham the person of prayer. C Irving Benson, gives a glimpse of F W Boreham’s power in prayer when he describes the way the 88 year-old prayed for the evangelist, Billy Graham and himself in his leadership of the Billy Graham Crusade in Melbourne in 1959:
