Sorry that got terminated abruptly.

I am writing a book about early doctors in Otago NZ and wondered if anyone knows the identitiy of "Little Doctor Dignity" as described in "Cliffs of Opal" Chapter 1 of Part Three. He was obviously a Deacon or Elder of Mosgiel Baptist Church and it sounds as if FW was greatly impressed by him. He finishes the chapter thus

"In the old days at Mosgiel, I never watched the gentle, simple and yet courtly bearing of Little Doctor Dignity without feeling that he had been with Jesusand learned of Him. He literally bore about, in the very carriage of his body, the marks of the Lord Jesus.

My first FWB essay was Hatpins and Button Hooks in Luggage of Life. All of life is either an exclamation point or a question mark. Bamford summarized the essay, "Never doubt your beliefs, or believe your doubts."
